Being on the otherside of the Interview with TheVantage.ca

After months of being an Interviewer for the articles I write for the Lifestyle blog I co-founded: http://www.vansavvygirls.com/ , it was a pleasure and  honor to be asked to be the  interviewee for a feature in TheVantage.ca .

For a over a month I’ve been anticipating and promoting, via Facebook and Twitter, my upcoming Jazz gig which is part of the  fund raising event  The Human Inspiration Project for the Red Cross efforts  in Japan. Friend and organizer Jessica Schmigelsky was deeply affected by the tragedy in Japan and felt inspired to help. Never organizing an event before, she called on her friends to help which is where I came in.  She had the brilliant notion to get her musician friends involved to help draw a crowd and sell  some tickets. All proceeds go directly to the Red Cross.

Thanks to Twitter, The Vantage noticed a post about the event and my newly formed Jazz Duo, and contacted me about being interviewed.  The site  profiles local good samaritans and artists who give back to their community. Big thanks to them for helping to spread the word about this event and encouraging other do-gooders by giving them exposure! I am very excited to be a part of this project on Wednesday at J-Lounge, and hope you will join us. The lineup also includes musician friends Nat Jay and Cory Woodward, and an amazing list of sponsors for the evening’s prize giveaways:
